Operations Research (also called Management Science) involves problem-solving and analysis to optimize usage of scarce resources. The department facilitates the decision-making process by automating tools or procedures used. They often handle problems that need inter-departmental cooperation. They do programming and work mostly with Excel or with Optimization Software. Some of the problems they tackle include Demand Forecasting, Vehicle Routing, and Manpower Scheduling.
INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING (IE)
The ultimate goal of the IE team is to optimize organizational performance by balancing both cost reduction and quality/productivity. With every task, an IE Associate is challenged to perform strategic improvement planning and tactical implementation such as conducting root-cause analyses and using key metrics to design processes to assist management. As part of the IE team, you will master how to successfully plan and execute diverse projects through an array of IE tools such as Lean Principles, Six Sigma, Simulation, Work Measurement, Ergonomics and Product Design and other implementation strategies that generate rapid and sustainable improvements in the company.
The corporate finance department creates business strategies that align the goals of the different units while challenging existing efficiency controls. The department is involved in financial planning, forecasting and budgeting. As a Finance analyst, you will be assigned to a particular cluster to identify improvements that need to be done and monitor financial performance.
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (IT)
IT works with a wide variety of cutting-edge technologies. With one of the largest deployments of open-source systems, their technology uses custom-built applications: open-source for servers and online applications, Microsoft for terminals and SAP solutions for ERP, HCM and Business Intelligence. SUPPLY-BASE MANAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT (SBMD)
The group is in charge of all Purchasing requirements of the different sectors of the Food Division. SBMD’s main responsibility is to ensure the reliability, quality and best price for all purchase transactions. Each Purchasing Assistant/Officer partners with Supply and Service Providers as well as internal departments to ensure that they get the most efficient purchase while practicing integrity in transactions. Members of the team are dynamic and versatile people who have very good analytical and social skills.
The team is composed of Architects and Engineers who expand the company by building better KFC stores that attract more dine-in patrons and customers. Equipped with extensive training and technical exposure, the group is made up of young, talented, hardworking and dedicated professionals who possess passion for the field of engineering.
Security maintains smooth business operations by providing employees with effective security services. They are the “eyes” of the company. They identify and eliminate possible irregularities in the workplace that might compromise employee safety and integrity. The team undergoes continuous customer service training since they also handle security for all KFC establishments.
